"The World of hunger"

Its not about just Greed!!! Its the unfortunate scenario where we refrain from understanding the meaning and purpose of the beautiful gift called LIFE...

This is a supper abstract topic but off lately there has been loads of realisation on how out of our various worlds that we create around ourselves and live in.. The world of hunger is a predominant one...

We are constantly seeking for a better job... A bigger house... a high end car... A hi tech phone... Money... Status... and d list goes on... A lot of us today strive for the best and in the race of making it big, loose the main purpose of life which is to be happy...

We fail to draw a line of our expectations and land up going overboard with everything!

Let's take for example...
1) A house -
Its ideally where we should look forward to going each night after a long days work... A place where we can relax and refresh ourselves for another fresh start... But its become more like a status symbol today... Fancy locality? How many bedrooms? Expensive interiors? ambience?

2) A job... is for most people their means of livelihood and for a lucky few same as their passion... But in the current scenario for every collegian its about how casually one can dress at work that determines if they take it up or no!!!

3) An MBA degree from a reputed college is necessary because its not what I want to do but because everybody else is doing it!!! We decide our college based on the package and placements they offer... N not by how much value would the course add to my personal growth as an individual in the span of 2 yrs!!

The entire world wants to grow and in this race of becoming a global economic power the core essence of human happiness is compromised! Strangely in schools however even today our textbooks read that the 3 basic necessities of a man are food, clothing and shelter!..

So are our other wants / desires an illusion of our greedy self? Or are they the a leading path towards our future happiness?

Some food for thought!

  1. Deep. We all live are lives hoping to be so much more-and end up succumbing to the dreaded capitalist society that we've built. You've hit the nail on the head. ROti makaan kapda-the evolution of it seems damaging now!
